Gautam Gambhir

Gautam Gambhir is a former Indian cricketer who played all formats of the game. He was born in New Delhi on October 14, 1981. He made his international debut in 2003 and retired in 2018.

Gambhir was a left-handed opening batsman who was known for his aggressive batting style. He was also a very good fielder and was often used as a wicket-keeper in limited-overs cricket.

Gambhir was a key member of the Indian team that won the 2011 Cricket World Cup. He was also the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders team that won the Indian Premier League in 2012 and 2014.

Gambhir retired from cricket in 2018. He has since entered politics and is currently a member of the Lok Sabha, the lower house of the Indian Parliament.

In recent news, Gautam Gambhir was involved in an altercation with Virat Kohli during an IPL match in 2023. The incident occurred when Gambhir, who was the coach of Lucknow Super Giants, pulled away LSG opener Kyle Mayers from a chat with Kohli, who was the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore. Both players were fined 100% of their match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct.

Gambhir is a controversial figure, but there is no doubt that he is one of the most successful cricketers of his generation. He is a true champion and an inspiration to many.
